Welcome to Seed Church
Online Service Sundays at 10AM
“Unless a seed falls to the ground and dies, it remains by itself… alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest. Anyone who loves his life, loses it. But anyone who despises his life in this world, will keep it all the way until eternity.”
The Bible uses seeds as a metaphor for eternal things….
- Jesus as a seed – John 12:24
- The Word of God as a seed – Mark 4:1-20
- Every Christian believer as a seed – Matt 13:37-38
- The Church as a seed – Jerm 2:21
- The Kingdom of God as a seed – Mark 4:30-32
“Seeds aren’t dead. If a plant grows, it grows from a living seed.”
The implanted Word in each believer is eternal and alive. However, the temporary fruit surrounding the seed must die and decompose so that the seed is released into the ground.
Dying to live is imitating the life of Jesus by reorienting our lives to live in a joyful pursuit of the eternal purpose of the kingdom of God. Dying to live is choosing to despise what is temporary and fleeting, not using it for ourselves but rather letting go to invest in the sowing of the eternal seed of the Gospel in Lynnwood Washington and to the ends of the earth.
This is what living for the kingdom looks like here and now.
